Capturing Cute: The best time for puppy photos

As a professional pet photographer, one of the most requested photo shoots are for puppies. These furry bundles of joy are full of energy and curiosity, which is so much fun to photograph!

I don’t have to tell you - puppies change very quickly. From their roly poly young pup stage to their furry budding selves to their gangly teenage look, you want to capture it all. That’s why I’ve created Grow with me Sessions. They are a series of three photo sessions at different stages of development. Then, when your puppy is fully grown (sniff, sniff…) we will create an album that highlights all of the adorableness.

The idea session dates are at 8 to 14 weeks old, about 6 months old, and again at a year. I recommend adding a fourth session at 3-4 months.

Each Grow with Me session is shorter than my usual session. This is to respect the needs of your puppy, who has a very short attention span. Some clients like to photograph all of the sessions in the same location- it can be a fun way to illustrate growth. Others like to vary the location. Both approaches have merit and both yield beautiful results.

As with everything I do, the look, feel and style is customized to your needs and preferences.
