Stella’s Late Summer Photoshoot at Lyndale Rose Garden

OK, I’ll say it: some dogs just melt my pet photographer heart. I love all dogs, I really do.

But some of them just speak right to my soul.

Meet Stella, a wise old soul in a young body. These photos are just so…. Stella!.

Her mom decided she wanted colorful pet portraits, and during our planning session we agreed that Lyndale Rose Garden and adjacent Peace Garden in Minneapolis was the perfect location to capture summer’s late blooms.

Here are some of my favorite images.

I loved working with Stella and her human family. They are all clearly bonded. One of the best things about being a professional pet photographer is documenting the connection between dogs and their humans. It always feels sacred to me, and I am always honored to witness such beautiful moments.

The early morning sunrise peeking through the Minneapolis trees, the colorful blooms, Stella’s pureness. It’s’ all there.

After Stella’s session, her human family met with me to design their artwork. I love me some colorful, personalized wall art.
